Pattern Notes

This Pattern is written using American standard terms.  On the rounds where the number of stitches is increased the round should be joined in the top of the first stitch from the previous round.  In the straight rounds, that do not include an increase in stitches, the rounds should be joined with a tight slip stitch in the top of the chain three from the previous round this should provide a straight seam.  The chain three does not count as a stitch.  Numbers in brackets advise number of stitches in that round.

    • Hi Shelley I need to amend this the magic circle and MR stand for the same thing. MR is magic ring which is the same thing as a magic circle. This is a way if starting off a circular pattern so it’s sealed. It’s a bit tricky to explain it might be best searching the term on YouTube to visually see how it’s done. Thanks for your question I’ll get the pattern amended asap

  1. Hi! Thank you for the pattern! I just made one of the hats tonight and it turned out really cute! https://imgur.com/bv8Ixi3
I followed the instructions for the 6-12mo one, but it turned out really small, more like a newborn hat. What size/kind of yarn did you use? I’m wondering if mine was too small, or maybe I made my stitches too tight? Thanks! 😀

    • Hi Judy thanks so much for your comment I’ll get this edited. It should say 2 strands of dk. Alternatively you could use a chunky yarn. For worsted weight maybe try 3 strands and see how it works up. I hope that helps and thanks again for letting me know 😁
