It’s all go in Torbay at the moment with the summer holidays upon us and now carnival week has started. For some this will be a nightmare. Commuters will be cursing the dreaded grottle who have travelled here in their masses (that’s holiday makers to anyone not living in the seaside zone).
However for us mums, explorer of bargains and hunters of the freebie, it’s one of the best times of the year. There are almost daily events for the kids which are either completely free like PLAYTORBAY or there are small charges for mornings out like the ROCK POOL SAFARI at Goodrington Sands. And what better way to finish off a busy day than with Valley Soaps. Which is exactly what I did on Monday.
On Monday Paignton saw amazing fireworks to mark the opening of carnival week and we decided to take full advantage heading down to the fair on the sea front and introducing Noo to fireworks for the first time. As you can see she wasn’t fazed at all.
The Boys had a great time too. Although they don’t look overly happy here!
After a very long evening which grew ever chillier I was looking forward to a long hot bath and book in bed especially after all the sugared donuts otherwise I’d be up all night. I was also very excited about the bath because I had received this beauty in the post that morning.
I don’t think I’ve ever looked forward to a bath so much from first thing in the morning! The only problem I had was choosing which amazing scent to try first. The soaps are made using entirely natural ingredients. As a consumer you can even watch their process
You can tell immediately from opening the box that theses are a good quality product not just from the way they’re packaged but also that you can smell them as soon as the box is opened. I also love the colours which remind me of the sea I’m surrounded by.
This product is the perfect gift and more about the product can be found on the Valley Mill website. My favourite of the three I received is the Lavender and Citronella as it was calming for bedtime without being old lady musky which I think is difficult to achieve with lavender.
The soaps can be bought from their website at £4.00 per bar. This is more than I would usually pay for a “day to day” soap but I would be happy to pay this for a special gift for someone maybe as part of a hamper pamper set for Christmas. Or as a treat for myself. However I will definitely be hiding the bar from the kids. Like galaxy chocolate it’s far too nice to share!
